It's not really a contest, it's more along the lines of "do this and if it's good we may use it". That being said, in the Pit, specifically in the sword room, there are some random, insignificant papers that plaster the walls. Rather than just throw them on there blank and useless, Conscars came up with the idea to have everyone draw something on them and then we'll put the new decals on the wall.

-The image must keep its original size
-Make sure to keep the image transparency properties
-Anything in fine writing may not appear when rendered in game

Starting...
Well out of boredom, and needing a break from serving snafuhrer (love ya snaff :) ), I decided to create this blog so people can keep up with random little updates to the Pit, and perhaps anything else I or another zteam member come up with, relevant or not. Any major updates I'll post here, little progress updates will go in here. Anyway, here are some pictures of progress up to this point. Keep in mind, lighting and shaders are far from final.

Unfortunately, what's causing the delay, is portals. Because the map holds such a high triangle count the engine can't really handle it. Face disappear and reappear depending on where you look. It's actually not that bad but it's just an eye sore sometimes. However, due to the maps layout, decent portals are rather difficult. We've applied portals and a few different ways and each time it causes problems. I have one last idea to fix portals but if that doesn't work, we may just have to live without them because it actually looks better without the portals thus far. Also skybox is currently in the works.
